Russian Soviet VDV Airborne Canteen – Water Flask – Mess Kit – Pot – Kettle.
Genuine Soviet military unused surplus. Special Russian airborne – vdv canteen (water bottle) and aluminum mess pot with cover. Belt-hangable canvas case. Made in about 1972. Сap with a rubber gasket with chain. Bowler is used for cooking over a campfire. Bowler is equipped with a wire-loop handle for hanging and carrying. Made from food-grade aluminum. Capasity of 800ml. Cover of the pot with handle can be used as a plate (bowl) or pan. It has an aluminum handle – latch. During transportation it locks the entire set. These were used by Soviet troops in Afghanistan War. Can be also used for distilling water (see the last picture).
