‘Klassnost’ – assigned to the Armed Forces servicemen class qualification, characterizing the degree of military skill.
There were 4 degrees assigned: 3, 2, 1 class, and for officers and warrant officers (NCOs) there was a master class of military affairs.
Examinations for proficiency took place for conscripts – twice a year, for officers and warrant officers – once a year.
