Russian Navy Uniform Jacket

Description

The navy jacket presented here is the uniform of the personnel of the Russian Navy. It is believed that, for the first time in the history of the Russian Fleet, a jacket, at that time still “made of green cloth on a warm ursa lining”, was tested in the Arctic voyages of the Russian explorer Count FP Litke. Since then, having already managed to get accustomed and undergo, in comparison with its prototype, over the years, a number of changes, the jacket – “double-breasted black cloth jacket with a warm lining with a turn-down collar” continues to enjoy a well-deserved popularity among the military and civilians.
