Gas mask civil GP-5
The civilian gas mask GP-5 is designed to protect the human respiratory system, eyesight and skin from the effects of toxic and radioactive substances, as well as from pathogenic microbes and toxic waste.
Gas mask GP-5 consists of a filter and a front part. In addition, a bag and a box with anti-fog films are included in the gas mask kit.
The filter is used to clean inhaled air from toxic and radioactive substances, as well as from pathogenic microbes and toxins. The air is cleaned with a special absorber and a smoke filter with which the box is equipped. The gas mask box is cylindrical in shape. On its cover there is a threaded neck for attaching the box to the front of the gas mask, in the bottom of the box there is a round hole through which inhaled air enters.
The front part of the gas mask is designed to bring the air purified in the gas mask box to the respiratory system and to protect the eyes and face from poisonous and radioactive substances, as well as from pathogenic microbes and toxins.
The face of the gas mask consists of a rubber helmet-mask with glasses and fairings and a valve box with one inspiratory valve and two successive exhalation valves. The valve box serves to distribute the flow of inhaled and exhaled air.
A set of anti-fog films is intended to protect the glasses of glasses from fogging. The gas mask bag is used to store and carry the gas mask and respirator. For carrying a gas mask and a respirator, the bag has a shoulder braid with a mobile buckle and a braid for fixing it on the body. In addition, it has three pockets: one flat and two voluminous. A flat pocket is designed to accommodate boxes with anti-fog films, two bulk pockets – for an individual anti-chemical bag and first-aid kit or dressing bag. A flat pocket is located inside the volumetric pocket intended for storage of the first-aid kit.
